The Association of Private Client Investment Managers and Stockbrokers (APCIMS) is the trade association of 184 wealth management and broking firms who, at more than 500 sites across the UK, Ireland and beyond, provide services to private investors.
APCIMS objectives
- to promote the interests of our members with governments, regulators, financial institutions and all participants in financial services;
- to provide information and assistance to our members across a wide range of regulatory, market and business issues;
- to communicate industry change to our members
- to lead the debate in Europe in the development of the European securities industry.

It has come to our attention that the following firms are falsely claiming to be APCIMS members:
- Alderton Consultants
- Hoffman Charles Securities
- Devlin Klein Associates
Please note these firms are not APCIMS members.

We are also aware of emails that are being sent from a Roland Cornwall, William Scurlock and James Carter all falsely claiming to be APCIMS employees trying to elicit business, capture names for marketing etc.
These individuals are not APCIMS employees and as a trade body we do not conduct investment business nor do we call asking for information for marketing.
This information could be used in a fraud scam.
